After just over 40 years working in healthcare Phil Turner, Practice Manager retires today.
Phil has worked in a variety of senior management posts in the NHS and also worked across the world as a Management Consultant focussing on primary care development and health improvement.
Phil joined the Practice in 2007 and over that time has supported the development of Bilston Family Practice, introducing additional clinical capacity, implementing new computer systems and overseeing the day to day management of the Practice.
In retirement Phil and his wife had planned to travel widely but COVID 19 has interrupted, temporarily, those plans. He is currently negotiating to buy a plot of land to build a new home and his wife has a long list of things to keep him busy.
Phil said, ‘I’ve done my time and thoroughly enjoyed a rich and varied career. The last 13 years has been exiting, challenging and great fun. I cannot enough thank all the people I’ve worked with in the Practice since 2007 and I will miss every single one of them along with all the patients I have had contact with.
We wish Phil all the best and hope that he enjoys a long and happy retirement.
