NEWS ABOUT BLOOD TESTS
A supplier to the NHS has advised us of a global shortage of some equipment used for taking blood tests.
Anyone who needs a test for urgent health problems will still get one, but where your Clinician recommends that it’s safe to do so, then you may be asked to come back for a test at a later date, or your appointment may be rescheduled.
Given the nature of the shortage, we cannot give an exact date for when the test will be rescheduled, but please be assured that if your condition or symptoms require it, then you will get a test, and we will be re-booking your test when supplies become more easily available.
If your condition or symptoms change or get worse, please contact the NHS as you would normally.

Beat The Heat - Coping with heat and COVID-19
Welcome to the Bilston Family Practice in Bilston, West Midlands.
The Practice was established by Dr Satya Vrat Sharma in 1981. Over a period of 33 years Dr Sharma developed the Practice and the list increased to 2900. In 2011 two young doctors, Dr Anant Sharma and Dr Ihsaan Hussain joined the Practice to support continued development and to meet the needs of a growing number of registered patients.
Dr S V Sharma retired at the end of March 2013 and, at the same time, Dr Hussain left to pursue his medical career in Australia. From 1st April 2013 Dr A Sharma assumed responsibility for the Practice and recruited Dr Natalie Walker and Dr Joanne Mason to develop a modern and dynamic new Practice supported by an experienced and professional team of nurses and administrative staff.
The Practice aims to offer high quality primary care services to registered patients and believes that engaging and involving patients in their care and the development of the Practice is essential to ensure that needs are best met.
The Practice has been approved by Keele University Medical School for the training of undergraduate doctors.
